Raised in Winnipeg, Geeta has had the wonderful opportunity to work within the non-profit sector and with profit driven small businesses, as well as the heavy manufacturing industry from New Brunswick to Alberta. Her passion for small business, combined with her experience and education, brought her to Ledgers in 2007.
Educated in Winnipeg with an undergraduate degree in the Social Sciences, Geeta worked with non-profit organizations until she left to continue her education in Halifax and earn her MBA from Saint Mary’s University. She continued her work with a major shipyard in the area of Program Management focusing on the areas of cost and schedule control and risk management. She provided consulting services to a software design and implementation firm in Calgary for a number of years before joining Ledgers.
Geeta has been a volunteer with many organizations including an adult literacy program, provided developmental support for learning challenged children, as well as served on the boards of cultural and music organizations. She represented the India Pavilion for Winnipeg’s infamous cultural festival, Folklorama, in 1985.
Geeta has returned to Winnipeg, with her family, to establish Ledgers in her hometown. She looks forward to providing her services to the small business community in this fine city.
